Our History
Christ's School stands on Agidimo Hills, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The Worldwide Alumni Headquarters is the Alumni Centre, Christ's School, P.O. Box 2, Ado-Ekiti.
The school's symbol is the Chi-Rho Christogram, surmounted by a crown, beneath the motto Christus Victor.
Key Milestones
1933
Founded as Ekiti Central School by Archdeacon Henry Dallimore, originally admitting pupils into Classes V and VI.
1936
The school moved to the Agidimo Hills site. During a visit that year, the Governor-General named it Christ's School.
1942
The school attained full secondary status. Reverend Canon Leslie Donald Mason became one of its most influential leaders, remembered as “The Builder,” developing a tradition of discipline, scholarship, humility, service and Christian character.
1967
Chief R. A. Ogunlade succeeded Canon Mason. Ekiti Anglican Girls' Secondary School was subsequently integrated into Christ's School.
2013
The school celebrated its 80th anniversary.
2023
The 90th anniversary and Founder's Day were marked with worldwide alumni participation.
